Over the years being unable to understand this complex set of imbalance in life it was hard for me to have time to breathe and relax. Some would call this, “me-time” and according to my peers and elders around me, it is significant to be able to have a sense of comfort which they can improve the state of the job or work we do in — being able to have a strict time table with room for some personal time and doing what we enjoy. It could be yoga, meditation, reading, playing video games or an instrument too much more.
According to Rolfe (n.d.) having a reasonably better work-life balance can improve health and confidence. Working at a stretch can create stress and anxiety which can affect not only the job you are working on but also the interactions with people around you.
With this in mind, a right balance of work and life can not only affect our status but our relationship with employees, employers, and business.
A few instances can be notes as a strong relationship with customers, confidence in daily activities and services, deliverance of prestige quality of goods and services, committed in the company, and reduction of turnover staff and employees for the employers (Promote right work/life balance in your business, n.d.).
At times the consequences of working long hours and being stuck to a 9-5 job can not only affect the company or the people around us but can change us significantly regarding growth and security. Working long hours, at a continuous stretch can make you stagnant and demotivated in having to take up any challenging task, it can be tire and exhausting you.
While not being able to take up various challenging task it can directly affect your personal growth and increase your strengths and reveal your hidden talents, and with this, it creates a domino effect that then later makes your resume weak and insufficient exposure (Stylianou, 2017, paras. 11-21).
These are some prominent examples of how having a work-life balance can affect both the person and the individual in a working environment.
However, the contrasting or side-effects of having a little more “private” or “personal” life can rather be disadvantageous as the employee or the individual but lose the interaction with the boss and his or her clientele. It can be hard to have a trusting relationship if the employee or the worker does not show up to the job frequently (Heathfield, 2018, paras. 19-28).
In conclusion, stating the obvious facts about my life and the research, it is precisely evident that having to do extensive work or devoting extreme amounts of personal time can be dangerous. There must be a balance; this means creating a firm and strict timetable according to ones need and wishes. One must be able to have a nonchalant mindset for he or she then can strive in success.
